Models are available with up to a 200,000-ton capacity, while the MSI-9600HT also features a 200 percent safe and 500 percent ultimate safety factor, a structure's absolute strength to the actual applied load, to help avoid overloading accidents.

According to the company, the high-torque load train is designed for use with powered rotation, and the enclosure features a rear-battery casting with snap-closure. The MSI-9600-HT has a 1.5-inch six-digit LED display that shows either red, green or orange digits to help operators read weights in all lighting conditions. The unit can function between minus 76 F and 176 F, though the company says battery life could be reduced by continuous operation above 140 F.

The MSI-9600HT can be equipped with optional extras including anti-heat shielding for high-temperature use, shackles instead of a bottom hook, oversized top or bottom shackles and oversized bottom hooks. Additionally, the device can include Wi-Fi communication capabilities for specialty applications and an radio frequency, or RF, modem for connectivity to MSI-8000, MSI-8000HD RF and MSI-8004HD RF remote displays as well as TranSend and LaserLight2 remote displays.
