EMH EG series hoist simplifies trolley adjustment

Engineered Material Handling (EMH) has introduced the EG series hoist for single girder cranes. It simplifies trolley adjustment to a variety of flange widths and beam types, with integrated staging that stays tightly together during adjustment, the company states.

A longer adjustment tube helps maintain hoist integrity and tight staging during adjustment, as well as during opening and closing. A new hexagonal drive shaft enhances adjustment and reduces the number of parts involved, says the company. The limit switch offers improved repeatability during raising and lowering, and a weight-operated limit is provided as standard.

The enclosure accommodates larger control panels and variable-frequency drives than the previous model. The hoist provides capacities of 3, 5, 7.5, and 10 metric tons, as well as 20-, 33-, 50-, and 65-ft. lifts.
